Noman Ali becomes first Pakistani spinner to take Test hat-trick

Pakistan's spinners dominate West Indies, dismissing 9 batsmen for just 129 runs.
On January 25, 2025, Pakistani spinner Noman Ali created history by becoming the first Pakistani spinner to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. This amazing feat happened during the second Test match between Pakistan and the West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Ali took the wickets of Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair one after the other, making his mark in cricket history with an unforgettable hat-trick.
On the other hand, in the second Test match against Pakistan in the current series, West Indies scored 100 runs and lost 9 wickets.
The match, happening in Multan, was dominated by Pakistan's spinners. They managed to get 7 West Indian batsmen out in just one hour. Noman Ali took 5 wickets, Sajid Khan got 2, and debutant Kashif Ali and Abrar each took 1 wicket.

For the West Indies team, captain Kraigg Brathwaite made 9 runs, Mikyle Louis scored 4, and Justin Greaves got 1. Amir Jangoo, Alick Athanaze, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair were all out without scoring any runs.

The only West Indian players who scored more than 10 runs were Kemar Roach with 25 and Kavem Hodge with 21, before they were out.
West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and decided to bat first, hoping to score a big total in their first innings. Pakistan’s captain Shan Masood said they would focus on using spin bowlers to slow down West Indies and keep their score low.
Shan Masood also shared that there was a change in the team. Fast bowler Kashif Ali is playing his first Test match, while Khurram Shehzad is taking a break.
